Brompton C Line Explore H6L Folding Bike in Black
Brompton C Line H6L features 6-speed gearing, mudguards, and the H-type riser handlebar, designed for a more upright riding position.
Originally designed with the 3-part fold and hand-made in Brompton London factory since 1975. Brompton is a robust folding bike that’s fun to ride. Although C Line is built to stand up to the rigours of everyday city life, owners have taken them on round-the-world trips, country tours, and even to the South Pole. But mostly they are used in cities 364 days a year (we recommend a day off for annual service).
Folded Size: 25.3' H' x 23'' W x 10.6'' D

Andrew Ritchie an engineering graduate from Cambridge University used his knowledge to build the first Brompton folding bike in his bedroom – from which he could see the Brompton Oratory (hence the name). Ritchie persuaded 10 friends to invest £100 each so that he could build a prototype which was completed one year later. Brompton Bicycles was founded in 1976. Andrew Ritchie expertly engineered to transform the bike into a small, locked package a little larger than its wheels—all in under 20 seconds. Nothing folds like a Brompton folds. Brompton has now produced well over 100,000 bicycles and in 2008 achieved 25,000 units for export to markets such as the Netherlands, America, Germany, Japan, and Scandinavia.
